Valladolid is a beautiful, historic city in north-central Spain, about an hour by train from Madrid. It is the capital of the autonomous community of Castile and LeĂłn and was even Spainâs capital briefly in the early 17th century. With deep cultural roots, Valladolid has played a key role in Spanish historyâChristopher Columbus passed away here in 1506, and Miguel de Cervantes, the author of Don Quixote, lived here for a time.
The city is known for its elegant plazas, medieval churches, lively tapas bars, and rich wine culture, offering an authentic Spanish experience without the crowds of more touristy destinations.
Our wedding venue is located at San Bernardo, approximately 40 minutes by car from Valladolid. We recommend staying in Valladolid city centre, and taking advantage of the transport weâll be providing to bring guests to and from the venue.
Of course, you are also welcome to stay at the wedding venue hotel, but please note that taxis from the hotel must be pre-ordered 24 hours in advance to avoid long waiting times.
